I mean to leave this work unfinished.

“To die... to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we end
the heartache, and the thousand
natural shocks that flesh
is heir to ‘tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.
To die... to sleep
; to sleep... perchance to dream”
(Hamlet. Shakespeare).
A dream is but only a shadow.
This photographic project explicitly evokes the imaginary
power of the double, whereby the being collapses into a dream image of his deepest self.
Our passiveness in dreams in which we never find out the ending even though they are
constructions of our own subconscious, puts me in mind of a state of release where the spectre
of reality floats above a vacant, absent body.
There where the hours of sleep end, reality dawns.
